Welcome to Marlyn Abramson’s New Dance Workshop
| In 1973 Marlyn Abramson opened the Marlyn Abramson School of Dance in Lansdale, PA. The objective was to provide a community based school that was non-competitive, performance-based, and inclusive for all children and adults. In 1997 she acquired the New Dance Workshop in West Point, PA which is now located in Springhouse, PA, and then expanded with studios in Harleysville, PA and Jamison, PA. |

A full curriculum in dance techniques is offered using a developmental approach that enables students to learn and grow at their own pace in a non-competitive atmosphere. Decades of experience with a community based program has revealed that most students want to learn general dance movements and have fun. Some students, however, want to get more involved and desire a greater challenge with more dance opportunities. For these students, Dance Company is available. Currently there are twenty-four companies.
The studios also provide special programs such as Preschool Enrichment, dance birthday parties and the convenience of our instructors travelling to camps to provide dance training.
Winter Reminder: Please call the studio or refer to our website for up-to-date inclement weather information.
Recent Performances
In December 2011 we were proud to have recently worked with The Donetsk Ballet from Ukraine for our “Nutcracker” Performance. This experience allowed our dancers to perform side-by-side world famous dancers.
In February 2011, our students performed in the fifth invitational performance in Walt Disney World. New Dance Workshop company dancers performed two shows (standing room only) on the main stage in Downtown Disney. This experience was a truly memorable one for both students and parents.
